At a time we did not know where to turn Footprints came in efficiently and lovingly into my fathers home to help with tasks that had become difficult  for my father. February 10, 2011 "My Mother is in the last stages of Alzheimers disease.  We needed real help for her.  My Dad is 90 and was doing his best to do the job but could do it anymore. I spoke to Michael Wright and it couldn't have been a better experience.  When he came to visit us we were so impressed.  He spoke to Mom with dignity and respect.  He treated Dad with respect and understanding. He got the help started up right away.  Phyllis comes in during the week and does so much for Mom and she is so nice.  Mom really likes her and so does Dad.  The young lady on weekends that comes in, Indi, is really great with them both.  They can't wait to see her again. I spoke to Michael again on Monday. We brought in Hospice care for her and was giving him an update.  I also wanted him to know how well Indi and Phyllis were working out, but we still had to have the evening help for Mom.  He told me he was still working on it and was having a meeting with Bryan the next day.  He called me Tuesday and told me the evening help would be in place on Wednesday and it was. You have no idea what a great relief this is to my father and myself.  The piece of mind is tremendous.  We also know now that Mom is safe and won't accidentally be hurt by us. Your people are amaizing.  They are truly angels. I especially want to send accolades for Michael Wright.  I know he has worked tirelessly to get this done for us.  He has been in touch with me all the way, given me his cell phone number so if I have a question, I can call him.  He has given me many resources and I suspect taken his own personal time to help me with my Mom.  He understands because his Grandfather had Alzheimers.  That may help his understanding, but he is a generous, caring man who has a huge heart and loves his family and loves God.  He understands what other families are going through and is the perfect person for his job. During a stressful time, I called Michael and he came to the nursing home where my mother was, to assess her needs. After she came home she still needed care givers. FootPrints Home Care was founded with the mission to facilitate the best in-home care possible for elderly clients in what was then known as the non-medical home health care industry. Our organization matches qualified CareGivers to elderly or disabled Clients, which enables them to stay in their current, desired living situation and environment versus moving to a nursing home. FootPrints Home Care facilitates the support necessary (including processes, Transitions of Care, and CareGivers) to allow Clients to stay in their own homes, providing Clients and their families peace of mind.

History

Gary Oppedahl, FootPrints Home Care CEO, knows what it ,s like to struggle with the demands of caring for a sick or elderly loved one. He experienced it firsthand when his mother was diagnosed with Hodgkin 's lymphoma. The family took time off work and his father stopped working altogether in order to provide the care that was needed. FootPrints Home Care is the result of a genuine desire to be a blessing and to provide peace of mind to New Mexico 's families.

Years later, as a few friends with various talents and job backgrounds were meeting and discussing ways to give back to the community, they were struck with the thought of starting a home grown New Mexico company. At their first official board meeting they decided that they wanted to be a blessing to the people of Albuquerque. They created TBAB Inc, (To Be A Blessing incorporated), a New Mexico Corporation.

FootPrints began when the group noticed a gap in the home health care services model, and filled it by establishing FootPrints Home Care. FootPrints has grown rapidly and has gained recognition throughout the Albuquerque area as in-home care experts. With a helpful and caring staff, we want to be a blessing, by guiding you through your eldercare options.
