Walt BensonCo-Founder, President and CEO
Walt, FootPrints co-founder, helped launch the company through his time, knowledge, and resources and currently serves on the Board of Directors as Secretary.
Walt holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and History from the University of New Mexico, a Master's Degree in History from Western Michigan University, and an MBA from the University of New Mexico.
Walt's professional career began as a consultant working for an international change management consulting firm. From there, he worked in a variety of leadership positions at different financial institutions. While working in this capacity, Walt met his current business partners and brought his unique perspective to help launch FootPrints Home Care. Over the years, he has served in a variety of roles on the Board of Directors. Walt currently serves on the FootPrints Board of Directors as Treasurer and leads the company's quality initiatives.
Walt is married to Amy and has four children: Orion, Soren, Alana, and Marek. He loves hanging out with them and also enjoys reading, backpacking, weight training, and investing.
David AdkinsCo-Founder and Chairman of the Board
David, the fourth of five original FootPrints founders, helped launch the company through his time, knowledge, and financial resources. In 2017, David began serving as Chief Strategy Officer to launch FootPrints' expansion plans in Santa Fe, NM. He currently serves on the Board of Directors as the Chairman of the Board.
A former Sergeant in the United States Air Force, David has applied his expertise in many endeavors in addition to his contribution to FootPrints. He is the owner of The Specialty Shop, which is the largest cake, candy, and wedding supply store in New Mexico and ABQ Dumpsters.
After spending a portion of his career as an Associate Pastor at Hoffmantown Church, David became the Executive Pastor at New Covenant Church handling the day to day operations of ministry and administration. He currently serves FootPrints as Chairman of its Board of Directors and Chief Caring Officer. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for To Be a Blessing, Inc, a charitable organization that serves as the administrator of the FootPrints Employee Benevolence Fund.
In 2014 and 2016, the people of House District 29 from the west side of Albuquerque, elected David to be their State Representative in Santa Fe.
David is married to Anna and has two children: Abigail and Benjamin.
Brian FletcherCo-Founder, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer of the Board
Brian has been directly involved with FootPrints Home Care since its inception in early 2005. One of the five original founders, Brian's initial contribution was his work as Chief Financial Officer, before adding the role of President and CEO in 2012. He currently serves on the Board of Directors as the Treasurer.
Brian studied political science at the University of California at Berkeley and began his career in Oakland, California, working for technology solutions consultancy Capture Technologies. In 2003, he moved to Albuquerque after receiving an opportunity with the RockWest Technology Group. Two years later, through mutual friends at church, Brian met his future business parners and traded technology for homecare.
His significant involvement with FootPrints has contributed to its growth to become the largest independent private duty home care company in Albuquerque, as well as numerous top work place awards, the prestigious 2008 Pinon Recognition New Mexico Quality Award, and recently, the very high honor of being Albuquerque Business First's top 40 under 40 performer in 2014.
Brian is hopelessly in love with and married to Kat, a former 4th grade and current homeschool teacher, and father to Benito, Jackson, Samuel and Penelope.

Gary OppedahlCo-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Board
Gary served as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2011. He is also one of the five original company founders.
In 1981, he received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and held a number of technology-related positions before starting his entrepreneurial adventure in 2002. Since then, he has shared in a number of succesful ventures, one of which is FootPrints Home Care.
His leadership of the company at its onset is significantly responsible for its initial survival and current success. During his term as CEO, FootPrints' Private Pay Services line grew to be the most trusted of providers in Albuquerque which lead to the acquisition of Cowan Home Care in 2007. Gary was honored as one of Albuquerque Business First's Top Performing CEOs in 2011, shortly before he stepped down to guide another startup and later become the City of Albuquerque's Director of Economic Development. He currently serves FootPrints as Chairman Emeritus of its Board of Directors.
Gary is married to Beverly, is father to Mike, Shanan, and Heather, and is grandfather to five.
Michael OppedahlLeadership Consultant and Advisor to the Board of Directors
Hired as FootPrints' Director of Business Development in 2009, Mike was twice promoted before becoming Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer in early 2013. In 2015, he was blessed with the opportunity to become of the Managing Partner of GiANT Worldwide, a global leadership consultancy firm. Mike has agreed to remain involved with FootPrints in the role of Leadership Consultant and Advisor to the Board of Directors
His career began at Honeywell after earning a degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. Born with a strong aptitude for leadership, he felt his opportunities were limited in a large corporate setting and decided to leave the industry that best matched his training for one that better matched his aspirations.
After joining the FootPrints team, his contributions led to: consistent growth in the Private Pay and Medically Fragile service lines; FootPrints being recognized as a best place to work by a number of third party agencies; and inclusion in the 2011 Albuquerque Business First 40 under 40 standout young professionals list.
Mike is happily married to Ashley, an occupational therapist, and has four children: Riley, Regan, Asher and Olive.
Jason Taylor PT, DPTCo-Founder and Secretary of the Board
Jason is another of FootPrints five original founders, who supplied capital and provided support to help launch the business.
Since receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Music Education from the University of New Mexico, Jason has been active in a variety of areas. He has worked in industries ranging from banking to personal fitness; has served as Worship Pastor at his church; and provided professional leadership coaching services to pastors and ministry leaders all over the world for Ministry Coaching International.
In 2014, Jason was distinguished with the title Doctor of Physical Therapy after completing the program at the University of New Mexico. He currently practices at Langford Sports Physical Therapy and sits on the FootPrints' Board of Directors as Secretary.
He and his wife Anna are parents to Addison and Shiloh.
